It's official. Ugliest headlight washers ever. Perhaps I'll have to wait for the 4IS now since I get more and more let down by the 3IS

washers are, to me, nice design touch, inspired by LFA...

Previous ones are exactly the same as what they offer in Toyotas... like my Euro Corolla with HIDs had same washers as my 2IS.

I test drove a 300h today. I'm telling you, the new washer looks really weird. Especially when the test car was in atomic silver paint, it stands out more than the ultra white shows above.

Are headlight washers standard or optional or region-specific? I have never seen them, and now I can't stop looking at them.

They look like those beauty marks supermodels used to have.

The headlight washers are included with the all weather package that is available for AWD only. I am glad they are not standard equipment.

In Canada, they are standard. In fact, they are standard in some other markets such as Hong Kong and China, according to their product brochure. It is not standard in Japan.

Aesthetically, 3IS look slightly better without headlamp washers. However, I don't think they look that bad. The retractable headlamp washers present in other Lexus models, inlcuding the 2IS, would look even more weird if they were on the 3IS.

I find them useful in the snow or heavy rain.

That's it!!!

I will never EVER get a Porsche in my life, not even a Porsche Turbo. Those headlamp washers have completely destroyed the car for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't care how the car handles, don't care how it drives, how good the interior is, how comfortable it is, those HLW have killed the deal!!

Now everyone knows a Porsche is just a glorified VW Golf. How could those Porsche engineers destroy a hundred year old legacy just like that with one thoughtless design decision.....

( Sarcasm fully intended )

I stand corrected. In Canada you must get a heated steering wheel standard as well?

No, it is only standard in IS350 RWD because there is no bare bone or base IS350 RWD available (Suffix A).

But practically it is almost standard even in IS250 RWD/AWD or IS350 AWD as the lowest package already includes it, just like the LED headlamp in US.
