IS. Cadillac looks dated by comparison.

IS gets my vote simply on aesthetics.

The real question is how will they drive. ATS has essentially dethroned the 3-Series. The IS (if it has the chops from it's brother 4GS) will put up an amazing fight.

The real question which I've proposed in several other threads is how will the wild card fair in the mix and can if move the balance of power... Q50

I inspected the ATS up close recently and it really just looks like a shrunken CTS..a nice design, nice proportions but familiar. I've only seen older people driving it, Caddy's aim to get younger buyers has yet to really work outside of the Escalade.

What I can truly and I mean TRULY appreciate is the Lexus and the Cadillac have a now clear design theme and you can't confuse them for anything else. I think both brands have done a great job with their design language.

Never really saw it before on the rear of the IS but why are the tailights sticking outside the rear panel like 2 ears on each side of the car. That looks hideous. Hopefully this is unique to the IS 300 but that does not appeal to me at all.

I would definately go with an full loaded ATS over an IS. After owning an IS for the pass year I don't find anything special about the car. Maybe I would feel different about an ISF.
I saw a full loaded ATS in the church parking lot on last Sunday and the car look great in my opinion. It looks like a luxury car. The IS is more of a nice get around car with good gas mileage. It doesn't say I have arrived.
What is up with the IS front end?

The ATS I saw as at Hertz, seems they are fleet cars already.

You think ATS looks like you made it but IS doesnt? Interesting... to me, I dont like Caddy looks but it looks fine, it is just that i am unused to those lines... but interior wise, ATS is not that luxurious at all imho.

Little too busy for my (current) tastes. The headlights look like a cross between the 2012 ISX50 and the Scion FR-S lights. Taillights remind me of the newer VW Jetta tails, and I'm not a fan of how the tails are not flush with the bumper (both the turn signals sticking out and the bumper angling in under the taillight).

Looking back at the first pic, I really don't like the front end of the IS, specifically the headlight and the area surrounding it. If you look at the passenger side at that angle, the nose comes out quite a bit. It's aggressive, but too much for me.

The ATS is very nice in person. Also, more of a driver's car with the manual and turbo (very light for its class). The only negative is that the back seats are a complete joke...worse than the current IS.

Force induction doesn't make a car, driver's car.
