Hi Everyone,

I am new to this forum and I own a 2010 (MY11) Lexus IS 250 luxury sport. Please find attached a photo of my car right now. Please excuse the lip with masking tap on it as we where trying it out for size. But basically i have done a lot of research and been in touch with Lexus in regards to swapping over my grill to a mesh style (IS F Grill). Lexus has told me i can't do it due to the pre-crash sensor badge etc in my grill which the Sport style grill does not have and it would not really fit. But i have seen the 2011 Lexus is 250 (F -SPORT STYLE) cars fitted with the mesh style grill before (not the V8 ISF). So i am thinking well isn't my bumper exactly the same size? its just the pre-crash system styled grill.? Lexus has told me a new grill would cost $1000 AUD which is a lot of money if it didn't fit.

I don't really care not having the pre-crash sensor on as it only works during cruise control which i never use as i do only city driving. So i have seen custom grills selling on eBay for 2010 Lexus with no badges attached that has the mesh style grill. In the future when i go to sell the car i would re-attach the old original grill.

Could you guys give me some advice? if any of you have done this before with success? any feedback greatly appreciated.

I have the ebay fsport ( mesh) style grill. Purchase one with the black oval so you can remove your Lexus badge from the old and transfer to the new one. Easy peasy lemon squeezey. I don't know much about the precrash sensors as mine is an 07 and may not be equipped with that feature.

I got my grille from Rockauto.com and new emblem from dealer.

The F-Sport mesh grille is available for 09-13 cars with pre-crash, you just need to order the correct part number.

53112-53140 - 2009-2010 without Pre-Crash
53112-53160 - 2009-2010 with Pre-Crash
53112-53220 - 2011-2013 without Pre-Crash
53112-53230 - 2011-2013 with Pre-Crash

53112-53230 is what you will need for your car.

thanks a lot Jeff!!! That's been a great help. So you subject ordering these part numbers from Lexus? Or would suggest any other website I can get it from cheaper ?

Your local Lexus dealer may be able to order it, not sure if it's in the Aus system, but if not it can be ordered online as well. Not sure what the cheapest option for you would be, so just search around I guess.

Mine are the same as your 2011 model, should I get the same part number and it will fit???
