Warranty fix
Hi,
I have a 2012 Lexus IS350 AWD, and I think either the transmission or engine mounts are going bad. I have just under 27,000 miles on the car. But, from what I can tell the previous owner (original owner) had a heavier foot. I have reset the ECU couple of times to see any difference, and tried to drive with a lighter foot, no major difference. The sounds are very faint when shifting from P to D or R. When coming to a stop you feel the movement of the engine, also very slightly. I know the engine mounts are still in decent shape, but might be going bad, and the car still under powertrain warranty which covers the mounts of the Engine/Tans.
My question: How do I convince the dealership to replace them, or whichever ones that needs to be replaced. I don't want the warranty to end next then they have to get replaced.
