Disconnecting the battery for '07 IS250

Do i have to recalibrate the steering rack ecu? Is there such thing? Mine has become stiff and it feels very bad. My car just hit 90k and im ready to get rid of this crap.

Have you disconnected the battery and then this problem occurred? No, that is not supposed to happen. Is it like the power steering is no longer working? Have you checked all fuses related to the power steering system? Might have a faulty steering ecu.

it started when i backed up from my driveway. I never had this problem before and it really sucks. It feels so stiff and so hard to turn. My only option is to get it check by the dealership...

You could find some good repair and have them check it out. Dealer will charge you around $120 for diagnosis but it could be credit back if you repair your car at dealer (cost much more higher)
