2006 is350 (Neutral acts like ignition button )
hi there
i just get a 2006 Lexus IS350 with 86k mikes from auction ( I don't know about the exact history of car except carfox report), everything works in order except whenever the engine is on and trying to move the shifter lever and pass the Neutral to go to Drive mode , the engine shuts off, but if I put it in the Neutral again it will run and the starter will not stop till put it in R or D
it seems to me that the NEUTRAL Acts like ignition button
car shifts smooth and don't Ave any issue with transmission
is there anything wrong with Neutral safety switch or wiring?!
Please help

Wow that is weird. There is no neutral safety switch in an automatic. But it seems that you have some sort of short between your transmission wiring and the starter relay circuit. First thing I would try to do is start tracing out the wiring from the starter solenoid and see if you can find somewhere it is rubbing or pinched against something.

car starts in P without any issue,
in R runs and drives perfect
the trouble starts whenever I want to pass N or stay in N ( engine shuts off and with start button doesn't work in N)
shifting back in N will start the engine and keep STARTER working till put in in other gear (R or D)
