No real alternative other than a repaint.
The clear cote is the shiny bit.
Looks like bad UV damage.

You really have no choice, but to repaint once the clear coat begins to fail. No amount of polish/compound will resolve the issue.

Thanks I was afraid that would be the answer I'm sure it will cost 2000. - 3000 to repaint the car

May be , just maybe, I would approach Lexus in case they had a batch paint issue?
Nothing to loose.

Lexus would laugh you off the lot for asking them to cover a 10yr old car's paint job.

Bottomline, the FL sun has baked the clear off and now it's time for a fresh paint job. From experience, it'll be in your best interest to go ahead and have the entire car painted, which I think was your plan.

Hate to point out the obvious, but that's what happens when you don't take care of the paint, its self inflicted wound. Waxing a couple times a year is much cheaper than a whole new paint job, take it into account after the repaint

Once the clear coat is gone, there's no saving it. I have an 07 is350 and no flaking. Paint looks new besides swirl marks. But it's been garaged most of its life. Remember to get a garage no matter where you live, especially in hot places like FL.

I agree with HartFB . Looks quite dirty if you look closely beyond the peeling. Gotta take care of your stuff. I understand washing in the cold sucks but you live in Sunny , warm Florida. Lol. Maybe try a macco shop if youre more concerned with price over quality. Best of luck to ya

There are plenty of places that will do a paint job for $200-$300. No, it won't be like new but anything is better than what you have now! Do you have any commercials on the local TV stations?

Yep, "No ups, no extras!" Or you can try MAACO.

Wow, I haven't seen a 2IS doing that yet. Looks like a Dodge.

Nor have I. Looks like 20 year old honda paint. OP must be in Keywest un-garaged.
