Post IS250 HP Gains

How much hp would you gain with an exhaust system with and air intake install? What are other upgrades out there for hp increase on the is250? I just got the IS250 AWD Automatic 3 days ago and I'm looking into some quick mods.

On an N/A engine, very little. On a boosted engine with a turbo or supercharger, you have the potential for a significant gain with tune as well as the exhaust and intake upgrade.

OP, do a search. There's much to learn here. Welcome to the forum. The sad truth is that the IS250, especially in AWD guise, is and never will be a powerhouse. Intake and Exhaust and PPE headers will help you, but you'll still be wanting more.

Just enjoy the car like it is. Not much you can squeeze out of it. You'll end up spending way to much for way to little.

The cheapest and quickest option for hp boost? Sell your 250 and get a 350 or ISF. just being honest. Like others have stated ur not getting anywhere with a 250 as far as power goes.

yeah by switching to a 350 or an F you'll get way more power than if you were to buy intake and an exhaust. i might get some hate for this, but for a 250 go for looks first lol. lower it and slap wheels and a body kit on her.

I'm not trying to get any crazy power. Just want a little more torque on the lower end and better throttle response. I like the car and want to make it a little more fun and responsive.

I don't believe so since yours is AWD.

Wouldn't be worth it. Not by a long shot. If you want speed or a manual, get a different car.

I say just get a F Sport Intake or possible an ECU tune if they have it perfected for the 250.

There are tunes you can get to raise HP/Torque a little bit and the F-Sport intake adds about 5 hp if you're serious on modding the car. There isn't as much potential for the 250 as the 350 or F unfortunately.

Its the wrong car to mod for fun factor. Neither intake or exhaust will gain you anything that you would actually feel. But since you already bought it, I would dump the crappy tires and put some PSS when temps get back into 50s+
