IS250 HP Gains

^^^^As a person who has had an ES350 and an ISF in the family, I can tell you that they are NOTHING alike - NOTHING!!!!!! My wife had the ES and she loved it. I HATED it Yes, it had a bit of pep, but it's handling IMHO was horrible. I dislike FWD, it plowed was very mushy handling with poor brakes. My truck handles better than the the ES did. As I said though, my wife, however, loved it.

I was actually looking at local ISFs the other day, even though I did drive them before, I wanted to drive one again now that I bought M235i instead. Back in the days I couldn't find any ISF worth buying either due to price or its condition

wonder how much hp increase those cardboard scoops, and a cardboard bodykit provide haha jk, i would never do that to my 2is

Front wheel drive is certainly not the best choice for a performance car, but I think the answer of why the the ES feels the way it does is a bit more nuanced. The ES feels nothing like a Civic SI, VW GTI, or any number of other sporty FWD vehicles that are a lot more fun to drive. My guess is that the engineers who designed and built the ES prioritized giving drivers and passengers the quiet, smooth luxury car ride commonly associated with the Lexus marque over road feel and handling prowess.
