IS350 Muffler delete + resonator delete // fuel economy
How badly is the fuel economy affected? It there a noticeable loss in performance like some people say? What size piping should you use to minimize drone? Some people say to use 1.75in piping and some say use 2.5in.
Thanks

Fuel economy is not effected with muffler delete. I had one for 5months and it my dashboard monitor shows the same mpg with stock mufflers. My size piping was close to the same stock ones. The shop was going to put 2.5 but i notice it was too large and can cause much drone. So i insisted him to do 2in. if i remember correctly. It looks to be almost the exact size piping of stock axle. The drone was not terrible or crazy but it is sure there. I myself got used to it within a short time. Breaking it in few weeks it gotten less loud. Only drones on highway speed of up to 80mph. As for performance goes i think its not bad. because you have weight reduction and i think it increases higher end torque.

Considering how much the stock exhaust restrains the engine, its highly unlikely you'll suffer any power loss. You might gain a few HP after doing this because of an easier flow out of the engine. Fuel efficiency won't be effected, but I'd assume you'll probably be a lot more tempted to hit the gas due to a much nicer sound.
