Default IS250 ownership questions?

I recently purchased a 07 IS250 with 68k miles on it. Originally I thought I got it for a great price, but when doing further research on this car here on CL, I saw that there's a carbon build up issue with the 250's that can ruin the engine. I was under the impression that these Lexus/Toyota engines will run forever, but now I'm starting to second guess my purchase. The previous owner kept it up and maintained and serviced it well, only going to the Lexus dealerships for maintenance things like oil changes etc. Right now the engine runs great and theres no idle issues or signs of buildup symptoms. I know one of things that is recommended is the engine flush so how often would I have to to do that? Also is there anything I can do to make this engine last even with this carbon build up issue? I've seen many different remedies on here but I'm not sure which works and which doesn't. I know my next service I'm going to replace the spark plugs. It's in great condition and really want to keep this car for a long time. I apologize if I come off as paranoid in this post.

install an oil catch can, replace PCV valve, top gas fill of course, WOT to 5k RPM once in awhile, you'll be fine, don't listen to forum sometimes, listen to your car. My friend has a 2007 IS250 AWD with everything original with no problem for the carbon build up.

Ok thanks. I'll eventually do the oil catch can in the within a month. Is there a diy guide for adding that on?

Thanks. I looked here and this actually helpful for my situation and knowing what to expect with this car. I just hope I can prevent the inevitable carbon build up issue.
