Default Lighter power outlet near ashtray not working ?

Bought a dashcam today try to test it and plugged in the lighter power outlet near ashtray and no power, the one in side the console box works fine, search CL forum i found some posts and did the homework, the fuse box under the passenger glove box 15A working both blue 15A worked so does others fuse EXCEPT 1 fuse blown which is 7.5A for ODB2 and i don't know how to pull it out i've tried with my finger and almost break my nails, is there another other Lighter power in other fuse box i have to check ? thanks in advance.

As you all know i just bought this used 2011 IS350 AWD and ya many minor things keep bothering me, i recall this on my 2010 IS350 with the same lighter power problem i did fixed it once myself but i can't remember which fuse i changed.

Use a pair of needle nose pliers if you got them, otherwise, a pair of scissors will also work.

AFAIK, the OBD fuse isn't linked to the cigarette lighter, but I'd replace it anyways. If you're absolutely sure the cig fuse tests out good (I'd also pull it out and visually inspect it), then the problem most likely lies with the lighter, or the something with the wiring.

Go ahead and purchase an assortment pkg of import fuses. You'll regret not having them if you do. Now, whether the fuse for that power source looks good or not, replace it. I've had fuses with an intact fusible link totally not work at all.

really ? thanks again Gville350 this is a great info, i think ill go check Canadian tires if they have pliers with teeth and thread, i still couldn't pulled the fuse out. I tested with with an electric fuse tester the light was lid means fuse good ? is that count or no ?

Often times there is a tool inside the fuse box to pull those fuses out. That is of course if the prior owner didn't use it and lose it.. but should just be a fuse. And yeah replace the designated fuse even if it looks good. Try pulling a fuse with the same amperage from another slot that isn't being used at that moment to test. Also, there is udually a couple extra fuses in the fuse box for when the occasional fuse blows. Look around on the fuse diagram.

Found the culprit, 2 fuses blown while replacing battery, the mechanic accidentally put the + terminal lean against metal, i retested them and yes 15A Cig-fuse blown along with OBD2 bought 2 fuses from dealer for 5$, and i found my mini pliers that i can pull out the fuse much easier than the one i bought from the shop, the one from the shop is too big for Lexus fuse box.

Should have purchased the fuse assortment box $10 for a large box vs $5 for 2. LOL!

But glad you got it fixed.

hihihi i did actually, double check the receipt from dealership. it was free lol , i was frustrated when i 1st tested the fuse on the 15A cig when the light was lid, i did it again and no light, pulled it out it detached and that when i fell better, your replied eased my feeling i really don't want mechanic to tear my car apart cause it's all original. Thanks again.
