Possible master cylinder replacement?
I have a 2011 which I just took in a month ago for 60,000 mile maintenance. A few weeks later my BRAKE light started flickering while driving to work. The next day it was solid red and stayed on. We checked the fluid level and it seemed like it could use a little, but not too much. Light went off the next day. Came back on a week later. I called Lexus and brought it in, hoping maybe they forgot to tighten a connection. They called and told me the master brake cylinder needs replacing. $1900 is what they quoted me for. Anyone experience anything like this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

bring to regular mech shop, master cylinder costs 1900$ = too much, take the car home for now, refill brake fluid if the problem persist just bring somewhere except dealership, i don't think 2011 brake master cyl goes out that fast. i just bought a 2011 is 350. is the Braking OK ? or soft ? does the car stop when brake ? or it take longer time to stop ?

There is a huge chance you won't have to spend near that if you take it to either a Toyota dealer or a private shop you trust. I thought my cruise control broke and I took it to Lexus and I'm not going to mention how much it would have costed and it worked perfectly the next day.
I think what you should do is take it to another shop and have them inspect it and see and make sure, and then when you are sure, take it to another shop/Toyota dealer and have them fix it for cheap. Avoid doing maintenance at Lexus, they will charge ridiculous prices for simple services.
EDIT: Unsurprisingly, OEM master cylinder is only about 400. If you find another mechanic to install it for you you'll save a ton of money... http://www.nextdayauto.com/2007-lexu...3-1779840.html
