Where is the starter on 2012 IS250?
I was just informed my starter is bad by the dealer. Looking to replace it myself instead of paying them $1300.00.
Where is it located and does anyone have a link to a diagram of it? I'm not having any luck finding one.
Did a search on the forum to see if this was covered before but I didn't find anything.

Pole Position
It is located on the driver side under the exhaust manifold, closer to the firewall. You wont be able to see just looking from the top of the engine, maybe a little glimpse of it. here are a couple of pictures as a point of reference. I circled the area. the first pic is an IS250 engine without the starter and the second pic is an IS350(same general location) with the starter. (note: your starter may not be colored black, could be silver)
