Default Radio changing channels and modes

My radio suddenly changes to sat. radio and kicks out the cd that is in the cd player. This hasn't happened in the 5 years I've owned it. Is this an electrical issue? I did have problems with the battery over the summer, but thought it was fixed. Some corrosion built up on the terminal and pushed the lead off the terminal. I cleaned the terminal off and put the lead back on and it fired right up. Has anyone had this type of issue before? Is it because of the battery? It doesn't happen every time I use it...just occasionally.

I'm having a similiar issue. My radio randomly switches from AM radio to CD and vice versa. Did you ever figure out what was going on?

Hmmmm, you might try disconnecting the steering wheel controls for that "mode" button and see if that helps any. I'll entail removing the airbag and disconnecting the connector leading to that button. Unfortunately that same connector might lead to ALL of the buttons on that side of the steering wheel.

I haven't looked but I'm guessing that Yoda addressed all the buttons like everything else and they are on a data bus sending data from the wheel to the BCM computer. That said, it might be as simple as cleaning the contact buttons. You know like pulling the conductive membrane from your tv remote and cleaning the beer out of it.

Was there a recent spill that may have dampened the controls?

I know I'm resurrecting an old thread here, but OP, did you find a solution? My LX570 started doing the same thing when I park it at work, especially when the outside temperature reaches the upper 90s. Thanks!
