Hello, just wondering if any one has ran 245/40r19 in the front, and if so how was the ride(any rubbing).
Haven't run that size but I think it will rub even at stock height, being that stock size for the Is 350 is 225/40/18.
Being the number 40 represents 40% in height of the 245 width. So wider and taller...than stock, lowering the height any amount I believe would definitely cause it to rub.
Just got mine mounted, and they do rub a little in the front if you're lowered. The rub on the wheels wheels mainly U-Turns but that's about it for me.
I've been running a 245/40/19 square for a while, I like the larger tirewall but it does rub (I'm on coils) and might look funny. Stick with a 35/30 setup depending on if you're running staggered and what widths too.
One of the drawbacks of the IS is the small wheel clearance. I had 235/40R 18 Which used to rub in U turns ! My car is not lowered and I returned back to 225/40R18. Even the 40 profile is too low for the bad roads in my area.
I run them and very happy. I purchased my car already lowered with aftermarket wheels. I put that size all the way around (AWD) and I love the way they look. They do rub just a tad when I turn sharp on the fender liner but not bad.
i have 245/35/19s on the front, and they rubbed a tiny bit, but all i had to do was push this tiny plastic piece in the wheel well away from the tire. lowered on h&r springs.
