Default Tensioner pulley whole assemble AWD different to RWD ?

My sister 2009 IS250 AWD got chirping noise lately and it's annoying her, she has replaced waterpump driving belt and idler pulley the Chirping was still there, so my BF said must be the Tensioner Pulley, we ordered a used Tensioner Pulley whole assembly used on Ebay "RWD" brought to the shop yesterday and the mechanic said this RWD will not fit AWD, her car is 09 IS250 AWD ??? so RWD tensioner pulley will not fix the AWD ?

The mechanic told her the only thing he could do for her is replace just the Pulley not the Arm, after that the noise seems gone but this morning she just called me and said the Chirping still there even with the new Pulley ? Can anyone please tell me what could it be ? everything new and the Chirping still there ?

i had the same issue, the culprit was the clutch on the alternator. pop the plastic cap off the alternator pulley and spray with wd 40 and see if it continues. i was able to prolong not changing the alternator or the clutch.

The tensioner is indeed different between RWD and AWD. You will need to make sure you get the correct one for the car.

^The cap is plastic and simply covers over the nut/bolt holding the ALT pulley onto the ALT. Use a pick or a small flat screwdriver to pry it off to gain access to where you might want to try some silicon lube spray.
