Default Air Conditioning

Hi. I've got an issue with my AC, I've recharged few days ago because it was empty. After recharging there was still no cold air, I went to a different garage, repeat the step but still no cold air. The compressor I can see it's working, clutch is spinning but no cold air at all. Any ideas what to look at? New compressor it's around £700 so I don't want to spend that much and then find out that this wasn't needed.

Thanks in advance

So you've been to two different garage's and either could diagnose your A/C issue? Sounds like you might have a leak in the system somewhere. My 2IS was built in Oct 2005, and I've still got the proper amount of freon and it's still cold. Not ice cold...but cold enough for me in humid/hot SC.

a proper garage should have a sniffer which is a device to detect where the refrigerant is leaking from.
I agree definitely don't just throw part at it. Find the source of the leak before anything.

As others have said, the first course of action is finding and repairing the leak. Then take it to a shop with a vacuum pump to evacuate it before recharging. A competent mobile AC technician should be able to tell whether the compressor is working by observing the pressures on his gauges.

It was inspected by the one of the garages and no leaking detected, system fully solid, however still not blowing cold air, the other advise was to replace the compressor but that's the last thing I'd like to do and the guy wasn't even convinced.
In other hand I will probably spend £120 in lexus dealer to diagnose the issue, all other garages seems to be fine but none of them could clearly state what causing the issue.

One thing to add, I remember that passenger vents were blowing cold air and driver side were blowing warm, that's the only thing I've noticed before it actually stopped with cold air.
