Default Rear Brake Pads Look Wrong!

The rear brakes on my car were done 3 mos ago and I was looking at the pads and they don't look right. Looks like they were installed incorrectly or they shifted/moved. Any input??

I stopped by a Lexus dealer and they said that's normal for the pad to stick out.
