That's quite surprising.. How did you know he was tuned? Did you ask him afterwards? Also was it a completely fair start or one of those random pulls where you guys just gun it out of nowhere?

It was a friend of a friend and we all went for a cruise then we decided to have a friendly race all 3 runs where from a 40mph start Here is the proof my friend filmed what he could on his gopro.

Awesome! Your car seems pretty quick, what are your mods just full bolt ons and no tune? I assume no tune since this was apparently done over a year ago.

Actually lol'd.

My kill list is minimal, I guess most people know/won't mess with a 350 unless they know they can beat it, and I don't exactly go around looking for them anyways. S2K, 335i (barely) and a v6 challenger.

Funny you mention the v6 challenger, I had a girl an v6 challenger "challenge" me tonight on my way to a lounge to hang out with some friends. I had me (again I'm quite heavy ) and 2 other heavy passengers with me against a girl alone in a v6 challenger with a not so good exhaust. We're at a light and wasn't even expecting to do a run until around 25 mph or so she floors it, I soon follow and beginning to gain on her but let off due to the fact that it seemed unsafe to go any further.. I always wonder if the people in cars that I let off on think they won? Lol. I had a similar experience with a 2.0 Genesis, I was catching him up after he took off before me but had to let off due to some nasty bumps in the road ahead. Kinda sucks being slammed sometimes :/

Oh and I also went against a 2012 ish Honda Accord 4 banger. The guy slapping his music in his car kept egging me on so when we finally met at a light we both went on green and needless to say I dusted him lol. I had a heavy passenger with me on this run too and the guy was alone... Gotta say it's nice having a decent V6.

Let's not forget that it's been discussed in the past that the 2IS350 might officially be the fastest naturally-aspirated six-cylinder sedan in the world (at least back then; not sure if it's still current):

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...the-world.html <-- Very good read.

Thanks to the very aggressive first gear, the 2IS350 can accelerate out of a dig nearly as fast as a Lamborghini Gallardo (from at least 0-40):

Gallardo: .................... IS 350:
0 - 10 MPH: 0.6 s ........ 0 - 10 MPH: 0.5 s
0 - 20 MPH: 1.1 s ........ 0 - 20 MPH: 1.0 s
0 - 30 MPH: 1.8 s ........ 0 - 30 MPH: 1.9 s
0 - 40 MPH: 2.5 s ........ 0 - 40 MPH: 2.7 s

I agree the IS350 is one the fastest naturally aspirated sedans. All other cars in the same class are turbo or supercharged to get their power. IS350 definitely a sleeper!

That's an over exaggeration in my opinion. Idk about the Gallardo but after owning my IS350 for 2 years I do not agree. It's quick sure but I've lost to a g37 sedan a week ago from 0-60 at a light by about a car or so. I had a passenger where as he did not and I'm running less than ideal tires on the rear but still. Even if the IS350 is "the fastest NA v6 sedan in the world" it's not by very much if at all. And even then that's only in sub 80mph sprint's since our cars start losing their advantage above those speeds. So to say it's the fastest is incorrect in my opinion. Fastest from a dig all things equal? Maybe. From a roll? Nope... The 7AT in the G37 helps a lot and in my opinion should pull away from an IS350 at least on rolls to high speeds.

Anyway to add to my race list, I just ran my buddy's 350z HR and lost.. Granted he does have intake, catback, headers and Tune where as I only have intake and catback exhaust but still, he put some good distance on me. From a dig and a roll it was clear that as long as he had traction and didn't mess up the gear changes, he was certainly faster. I got to ride in it afterwards and oh my gosh that thing pulls for a v6!! Nissan made one hell of an engine and in my opinion is superior to the 2GR FSE in every way except fuel economy. That 7800 redline on his car sounds and feels amazing

For what it's worth I raced a normal non HR 350z and a bunch of G35's and I always win rather easily. But the HR is no joke. I wonder what my car would do if I had proper tires along with headers and tune..?

On another note, if you guys want a real sleeper just get an ISF Tons of people have no idea they even exist or think they are v6 F sports. So when you smoke them with that big burly V8 you know they'll be surprised!!
