We know our cars are fast --esp. the 350. Ive seen recorded 0-60 times as low as 4.7 to 4.9 sec. I think some other drivers are unaware of the speed of these cars.

Yesterday some dude in a modified Ford F250 diesel tried to race me from a stoplight. Light turned green and I hear his diesel engine roar and big turbo wind up. I said to myself--is this guy really trying to race Lol?? So I punch it and smoke him--it was funny to see the plumes of black smoke from his diesel. I'm not a racer but I will prove a point if needed!

Anyone else have some good race stories??!!

I don't think it's a smart idea to share street racing experiences on an open forum as it is illegal. However fastest I've seen at the track was 13.2 with only a Darkstar intake on my buddies 2012 IS350, I personally hit 13.4 with the same intake but it was around 90 degrees outside. Compare that to an ISF that was at the track as well that ran a 13.0 flat that day I'd say the IS350 is a pretty fast sleeper.

Aspect

Not a race story but when I was sitting at a stop light waiting on the green to do my daily carbon cleaning WOT technique I gunned it to the speed limit; not knowing there was a modded civic beside me who ended up flying by when I was slowing down. So I guess it was an accidental stop light race?

Lol BTW the race I had was up to 65 and the posted limit is 60 on that particular road. Back in my 20s I was a street racer with my Eclipse Turbo. Now just a cruiser.

I have yet to run a 0-60 in under 5 seconds. Even with cutback and Joe Z. However I am basically slammed now and on 235/35/19 rear. But even when on stock suspension with axle back and Bridgestone S04 summer tires my car couldn't hit 60 under 5 seconds. This was done multiple times on different days in weather under 70 degrees. Never have I hit that time.

Anyway, as for runs I've done against others? I've had quoite a few.. Usually just Hondas but have also gone against a lancer, a lightly modified WRX, Older Mustang GT's (pre 5.0), Camaro V6's, Maxima, Altima, several G35's etc.. And i beat them all..

I've only lost to a modded 335i, a turbo Audi A4, a short geared Trans Am but mainly due to no traction on my end, my brothers modded G8 GT, and just last night I lost to a G37 from a stoplight to 60. Hence why I doubt the whole 4.8 seconds to 60 claim. However I did have a 240lb passenger (I'm also fat) and he was alone. He pulled by about a car.

I have a 250 F Sport and this 350 pull up next to me thinking he will smoke me. So when the light turned green, he was gone and did smoke me but in the end I still beat him in MPG. Hell Yeah that take!! Ask any drivers, it doesn't matter if he only lose by 1 mpg or 10 mpg, losing is losing! So in this case I win!

i had a stupid ricer Altima 2.5L tailgate and then tried to race me... so i showed him what a is350 can do... obviously left him behind so far that when he finally catch up he gave me the stupid retarded look and then he drive off... also had a lifted Chevy Silverado HD with mud tires etc... the whole 9 yards... you know the ones that scream douche bag on the side of his truck.. wanted to race me on a mountain road with twist and turns... yup.. and no point asking who won that race...

I've always loved the 3000GT and never see them around, so I pulled up next to one at a stop light staring in admiration, the driver thought I was grilling him and started revving. I'm guessing it was the SL version because it wasn't close at all 0-60 (yes legal for the highway access road)
