Do you have HID's/LED DRL's? If you do, you'll have D4S low beam bulbs. If you don't have the LED DRL's, you will have H11 bulbs.

Are the OEM bulbs the best out there for brightness? I don't care about color.

I can't believe I still have the OEM bulbs in my 2010 IS with 146,000 miles (bought her brand new) but I am thinking they will need to be replaced soon.

Anything from Sylvania/Osram (ex. CBI), Philips (42402/42402 WX), or Toshiba is fine. There are some companies that provide quality aftermarket bulbs though (TRS's Morimoto bulbs, XenonDepot's bulbs). Of course, nothing will beat OEM, but they come close.

I don't have a problem paying for OEM if it is the best.....but I know that sometimes with some cars you can buy the OEM part from the company like Phillips/Toshiba/etc.

What kind of bulb is the OEM? I think it's 4300k but which manufacturer?

It was Philips, but they've now switched to Toshiba.
