Default Lexus corrosion warranty

My car is a 2010 and I've recentlybeen informed of the lexus corrosion warranty covering perforation in any body panels..

I'm gonna go to my dealership tomorrow and ask about some bubbling I have on my front right fender..

So my question is.. Does this qualify??

Apologies for the dirty car.. its supposed to rain tomorrow so no point in washing..

Not covered. Usually corrosion coverage is for "panel that develops perforation from corrosion (rust-through)". If you get a chip or damage that is left bare, you will get rust, and that's certainly not covered.

The chip is from the perforation.. It didn't chip and then start to rust.. there is other spots that are bubbling with no chips..

You're in Ontario? I'd blame the road salt. But let us know what they say.

I would expect that should be covered, but you'll have to wait and see what Lexus says.

Doubtful. Warranty is for "perforation", that's not "perforated". A quick google show that's it's almost impossible to claim rust warranty on cars these days. But looking forward to hear his results.

No deal.. Dealer said that perforation is pretty much a hole.. He gave me a real nice quote to replace the whole fender though.. I'm probably going to do that haha

Not too surprising. But I don't think that bit of rust warrants a new fender. Should be easy repair and respray.

Well they would have to sand that out and then possibly put a new piece in no?? I haven't made up my mind yet as it is very small... even standing 1ft away from the car you can't notice it.

Perhaps it looked worse in the photo when I first saw it. There definitely needs to be a hole for any warranty coverage to be applicable.

Still sucks. I hate rust.

$400 to repair or $1000 for a brand new fender - keep in mind my car isn't driven in the winter and was just oil sprayed last week..

What should I do??
