Default Will Stock Tires Rub On Lowered Car?

I will be getting the RSR Down springs which is a mild drop 1 in front .8 in rear. I have Niche Apex wheels which stick out about 1 in more than stock. I have the stock tires 225/40/18 front and 255/40/18 rear. The front should clear the fender liner, the rear should clear too but looks very close to rubbing--see attached pic. Anyone experience this??

I've dropped my front 1.5 inches(25 fender to ground) have 18x8 with 225/40/18s with no rub. Can't say for the rear since I have 225/40/18s all around but I did drop it 1 inch(25 fender to ground) with no rub.

Be specific about the specs on those Niche wheels. I see from your sig they are 18"; but what is the offset, width, extra.

Will need offsets as mentioned above.. that rear looks pretty flush - maybe a 35 offset?? Upon first look I'd say it might rub on big dips

I like the niche apex's - My wheels are Niche M117 - I am lowered on F sport springs - my rear rim is 9.5" 45 offset and I do not rub

My fronts are 8.5" 35 offset and will rub if i hit HUGE dips at high speeds (I try to avoid hitting big dips at high speeds obviously lol)

Wheels are Niche Apex -F 18x8 R 18x9.5 offset +40 Front drop should be no problem no rubbing, rears are closer to fender edge and wheels stick out an extra 1 in from stock but I think the tire will clear with the mild drop.

I find it difficult to believe those are a +40 offset.

I've got a +25 offset and my fronts are 19x8. They aren't even flush like yours appears to be. Pic of my +25 offset setup :

But back to the original topic, you should be fine with that minimal drop. Might encounter some minor rubbing on the fron liners during hard cornering though. Nothing to worry about though.

I remember Niche wheels sent 2 different offsets to my local tire shop and one of them was boxed wrong.. because I also find it hard to believe that is a +40. Mine are +45 and are nicely tucked inside my rear fender.. I had +35s fitted and they were flush like yours are.. I decided not to go +35 because of the roads up here.. But regardless with a mild drop I'm sure you will be fine.. up front I rub on big dips but just on the fender liner so its NBD.. also full lock reverse I rub as well so I'm just careful when backing up and will correct my car once if needed rather then crank my wheel and listen to the rubbing lol

I ordered the RSR Down springs today through STILLEN. I work at an AutoNation dealer so got the springs at wholesale price! Still need to get them installed. Im not too worried about fender clearance Ive looked at the tires and should be fine with the mild drop. I will post pics before and after!

When you have the wheels off to do the springs, look on the backside of the wheel spokes and let us know what casting marks are there. Just curious what you find.

Yes Ive noticed that on previous wheels Ive had on other cars that the offset is cast behind the spoke. Will check it!
