Potential ECU swap out for more gains?
So I have heard that the 2006 IS350 ECU is better than the other ECUs for the 2IS becuase it doesn't adapt to engines mods done to the car, so you can get more gains. Is there anways I could replace my 08 ECU with an 06 ECU?

I have an 06 is350... No wonder I smoke stock ISF's.. Lol!
On a serious note though, I have never heard of what your talking about OP. But if it's true, I may just buy the tune now lol.

I'm not sure I buy this. My '06 ECU, like most, was flashed with new code for the floor mat interference recall (a recall modifies the ECU to cut power when both the brake and gas are applied at the same time); I'd imagine that this would have installed the latest code.

Also I can't remember where exactly but I remember reading on this forum somewhere where there were people claiming the 06 to be the fastest. Im sure it was a joke but still, maybe they were onto something? Lol
