Only ones from model year 2009 and earlier are upgradable with a DVD; later model years are upgraded with a USB stick and laptop with special software (not Techstream) at the dealer. But the DVD or USB update only updates the map and point-of-interest database. Even with the latest DVD, the feature set of the GEN5 navigation in the '06-'09 ISx50 is very outdated, and pales in comparison to smartphone apps like Waze and Google Maps.
