Default First Car, Should I buy this Salvaged 2010 IS350?

Hello, im trying to buy my first car right now, and i found this car looked like a good deal.

But it is however a salvaged title, i know stepping my foot into this game is a gamble but if i get this thing inspected or whatever is it worth it? Or will it still hurt me in the long term?

I bought a salvage titled car once. Still have it actually. It's nothing but grief. Guess it largely depends on where it was hit. And getting used to all the little problems that pop up every now and then that weren't caught and fixed during the repair. Oh, also inspect the car THOROUGHLY. Many salvaged cars are piecemealed back together well enough to stay whole just until your check clears.

The person said he got it inspected in the dealer and they told him that the front left but he said it was repaired right..

He said the best choice for me is to take it to the mechanic will the mechanic see every little problem?

And is this car too good to be true?

Although it has low miles, 15k is still alot for it being Salvage.

I know you will love the car, but worse case scenario if you try to sale it will be tough.

I don't recommend getting a salvaged car because at the end of the day, you're going to lose more money because of a lot more depreciation and whatever is wrong with the car. The car has really low miles but still.

Depends what the salvage says! I know of thefts that become salvage titled. So get the break down of why it was salvaged. I don't think I read where you mentioned of why its salvaged.

^Guessing the "no airbags deployed" comment in the ad means it was in an accident, but obviously not bad enough to deploy the bags.

The only thing I can say is have a GOOD shop inspect in. Specially in the area where the damage was.

At that price-point, I'd pass though; still too high.

Stay away.. All kinds of little problems will arise, plus resale value is terrible.

For vehicles under 6 grand, maybe, but spending 15k on a vehicle that you can't even get 100% insurance coverage is risky. That's not mentioning the other "potential issues" the vehicle may hide.

I love salvage title SC's, though. They're a dime a dozen.
