Major Transmission Leak HELP!!!

At least someone got good news, my issue is actually the complete opposite. I thought it was as simple as a seal and did all of that put the tranny back on and it started leaking once again maybe 5 minutes of it running. So now I'm just going to try and find a low mileage transmission and swap it and call it a day.

Once you remove the transmission, you will probably find out what's wrong with it, or at least be able to take it to someone who does.. I would think this would be the most cost effective route here..
It sounds like a leaking seal.

I've seen every single transmission on eBay already, it's not really worth it for me since I'm in Cali, I found a couple local to me for about the same price. Now I just need to make up my mind on which one is the best deal for me.

Hopefully someone can give me a good suggestion here before I buy a tranny. So basically I found 2 trannies that I like one came off of a 2008 with 77k miles the guy wants $500 for it but I'll try bargaining some more on the spot, tranny #2 came off of a 2010 with 800 miles on it but has been sitting outside for 5 and a half years the guy wants $1,000 for it also possibility of bargaining it down. What's the more logical thing to do here?

^Can the guy prove the 800 miles on that trans? Being outside is not a big deal, unless it was left uncovered and open to the elements. Even then, if all ports were closed up tight to not allow moisture inside, surface rust on the case wouldn't be a big deal either. Just confirm that the 2010 can work in place of your 2006 model year.

That's the thing about mileage, I've dealt with the guy many many times before so he is kind of reliable however I've also heard stories of him that aren't that great. He claims it came out of a 2010 with 800 mile 5 and a half years ago and has been laying there ever since. He used to be an IS Dismantler until he moved onto other models now. Luckily I have the later production 2006 model so anything from 10/05 until 2013 will work in my IS.

My buddy is kind of on the same boat with his IS250 RWD - A960E transmission.
during the installation process of the USED transmission, i already got a new oil strainer, front & rear seals, and gasket for the pan.
When is it a good time to drain and fill after USED transmission is installed? 500 miles? or 5000 miles? or later?

I believe you gotta do the seals while the transmission is off that's the only way you can access them, but be careful putting the torque converter back on it takes a while before it fully goes on don't try hammering it in. As far as the strainer I did that after I put the transmission back on and drained all the fluid or at least as much as I possibly could have. Then it's just a matter of putting everything back on in reverse order.

I'll definitely be flushing the fluid out, I opted for the lower mileage one, but there's been another hiccup which will set me back a little. The yard next to where my car is parked caught fire and messed up my car thankfully it didn't burn down just melted a bunch of the exterior plastics. This IS has been bad luck so far for me.
