Hello! New-to-me IS350 owner
My apologies in advance if I'm posting in the wrong area. I just officially joined this forum after browsing around looking for answers about used IS350 and finally pulled the trigger and bought one this last weekend. This is actually my wife's car but I'm already jealous it's not mine The car's in great condition and drives unbelievable. The PO was second owner and is a great guy and appears really took care of the car. Unfortunately, my wife refuses to drive it until I get the car back to stock (non-blacked out badges & wheels) as she doesn't want to look like a gangsta . I've already ordered new badges just waiting to find stock 18in wheels. What's my best option of finding great condition stock wheels w/o paying dealer prices? Thanks!

If those items are plastidipped; you can peel it right off. Someone may trade you for your wheels or search craigslist or the for sale forums here on the site.

Honestly I'd tell your wife to suck it up and drive the car lol it doesn't look that "gangsta"
See how she likes it with chrome badges but there are lots of vehicles that have black wheels on them
Unless you can find someone with stock wheels that wants to trade (good luck w that) then your most likely gonna be buying new rims. You can always go to wreckers or scrap yard but its a lexus and I generally don't recommend that
Start looking online at 18" aluminum rims - usually cheaper then dealer prices

Yes the car is an 06 and looks like PO put different rotors on but just painted the calipers red. Being that these cars are "performance" sedan I thought these were also just standard stuff I don't really care for all these extra stuff but what was important was that no engine or suspension (besides new shocks) modification was done (at least I haven't found any).
I don't know why but the car honestly looks much better in person than in the pics. For a 10 yrs old car with almost 150k it practically looks and runs like brand new in such a great condition. I just hope the engine & transmission doesn't give us any problems anytime soon but we'll see.

BTW, if anyone in the SoCal area has a great condition factory 18in wheels they want to sell or trade please PM me. These black wheels are in excellent condition with no peeling or curb rash. I'll even throw in the same excellent condition emblem set to match. I can't post anything in FS section yet so I'll just do a shout out here.
