Default At 95k with a few issues

Hello all. I am getting ready to hit 95k and I just took my 2008 IS 350 to get an oil change. The dealership said that the rear driver's side caliper is stuck and that my water pump is beginning to leak. Are these issues pretty common for my age and mileage?

I have tried to un-stick a caliper before (1998 GS 400) by greasing back up the sliding pin. This didn't work and I ended up having to replace the caliper anyway. Do you guys think it is worth trying to grease up the sliding pin or should I just do the full replacement?

For the water pump Lexus quoted me at $1080. I know that I will probably get a better quote anywhere other than Lexus but I was wondering what price I should be aiming for. Unfortunately I don't have the time to do this on my own.

Thank you!

My rear calipers seized up at 50k.
Water pump Is supposedly a hit or midd. See some of them fail prematurly, while others are strong as a rock.

Same here with the caliper. My mechanic got me a rebuilt one for like $200. Just had the water pump done with drive belt and pully. The job came to $1000 from my local mechanic

My water pump was replaced at the dealer at around 110k and it didn't cost over a grand to do it if I recall correctly. It's seems to be fairly normal.

My 2IS' water pump was replaced at only 27k miles under warranty. My rear calipers were replaced DIY with new, OEM calipers. One caliper was 100% seized and I wasn't even able to release it with a BFG and heat!.

Local shop will do the water pump cheaper, maybe $700. You can also ask Toyota dealer they did a great jobs and charge cheaper then Lexus.

Lexus originally wanted to charge me about a grand as well. But that was way to much for my wallet. I bought the parts from Lexus and went to my local shop and paid about $150-200 for labor.

Thanks for all of the advice! I completely forget that Memorial Day Weekend was upon us. I will have DIY time so I am going to attempt the water pump myself. I ordered the Aisin water pump from Amazon. Do you all think I should attempt to replace anything else while I'm in that area of the car?

Tensioner pulley and serpentine belt if they're causing noises/haven't been replaced already. Belt comes off anyways and pulley is just one bolt.

For the caliper, replace the rubber boots as wel when you regrease the pins. The way it's designed it super easy for water and crud to get in there and seize it so try to make it as tight as possible.
