I have a 2010 is250 with 81k. I'm still feeling it out as I've only had it a couple weeks,but I've noticed a FEW things so far. The one that I'd like to take care of first though is the metal on metal rattling sound in the front as I go over bumps. I heard nothing when I'm turning,only as I go over bump. There is also a defined metal on metal TAP that I here when I first apply the brakes when moving. I had a control arm replaced but it is still making these sounds. Any ideas/advice/suggestions...anything? Thanks

May be the stabilizer bar links. Check both the front sides and see if they have any play, or if the rubber boots have deteriorated.

You say the noise happens when you hit the brakes for the first time in the mornings? have you checked out the front brakes that they have all of the necessary hardware? Also, worn hardware or missing shims might also cause odd noises.

@gville350: after reading about it on here,I'm thinking it may simply be the hardware missing. And it will make the noise when I first apply the brakes after beginning motion. After the initial "tap" I hear when first applying the breaks, I can let go of the break and apply it again without a second "tap". It only happens on the first application of the brakes.
