Had both dash lights on... Ran the code... Misfire cylinder 1... Took it to Lexus of Highland Park (IL) ... They did a top engine clean, changed the plugs, and ran some sort of fuel treatment (PEA Based)... $648.... Runs like new....

I'm guessing yours has been treated for Carbon Build up?

Yea that is a lot of money. It turns out to be 6400 to 8,000 USD currency. It seems right, but still a lot of money. My car felt like it wanted to turn off on me when i was stopped at the red lights. It started by stuttering once and a while, but I never had a check engine light because of that.

If it ain't broken don't fixed it. Drive it as long as you can even after engine rebuild. Carbon issue will keep coming back because of direct injectors.

What's the worst that could happen? I'm think of just keeping it for now

Just ask Lexus straight up: what's going to happen if I don't get the carbon cleaning done?

That's why we trade in IS250 after a year. Even though still run great but didn't want to deal with carbon buildup in the future.
