Default Buying an IS 350 with dash and door panel issues ?

Hello,

I am looking at a few IS locally that are in excellent shape (2006 and 2008), but they have the dash and door panels in horrible condition.

I read that these can be replaced by the dealer, but I was wondering how long of a wait and if maybe there is a chance the dealer will not replace a part even though they are in bad shape.
(I live in south florida/miami).

Thanks

There is a recall for that issue so it should be absolutely free of charge.

More discussion and stuff in there. First your car will be inspected; depending on the damage and condition they will elect to either replace only your dash or the dash + all 4 doors. I don't know exactly what they're looking for, since the dealer elected to have all panels replaced on mine.

I've been waiting for about 6 months now, and every time I call the dealer they just say "keep waiting". So now I'm pretty much not expecting for my dash to be replaced before I leave for school.

FYI, it's not a recall...it's a warranty enhancement. LOL!

Too bad. Not worth it to wait so long.

FYI, I just called for my sisters IS250 in Miami and the wait time was a year on the dash alone and possibly more for the door panels.
