Default Replace Front + Rear Seats

Have just purchased 2006 IS350.

I'd like to swap the current cloth front and rear seats with OEM leather seats. I understand the back seats will be simple to do, but how about the front memory seats? Would there be any complications with this.

Do we even have cloth seats in the US? Never has come up, so I don't think so. Anyhow, if you have heated seats or ventilated seats, I'd find the same options in the leather ones you're looking for. That way the seats would connect up the exact same as what you have now.

Have a picture of your cloth seats? Just curious what they look like.

Op I think what you have is alcantara. Which is basically ultrasuede. I agree with the previous post, I don't think Lexus ever designed actual cloth material. If so, it was more than likely customized that way.

He's from New Zealand lol Other countries have base models, some of them don't even have moonroofs either

Yes, I reside in New Zealand where you are able to purchase a base model IS350 that has done 65k miles for 9k USD. Same engine and body minus the optional extras (moonroof, heating/cooling seats etc). I'm not complaining.

Will have the car this weekend and it appears to be a straightforward bolt on swap to leather seats. My only concern now is if it will match the rest of the car (door cards, centre console). Doubt they're alcantara from dodgy pics but may post once in possession.

^Never seen the cloth seats before; actually look pretty nice. Not that I'd give up my leather NOR the vent option for cloth however.

What is this?? I never knew cloth existed from our cars? Guess you learn something new everyday..
Also I think it looks pretty good too and having a no moonroof option is cool.

Oh amd gville350, the only thing i would care about losing is the heated seats. Since as far as my experiences have been, the vented seats are pretty disappointing in our cars. Especially after having a laoner NX200t with actual functional cooled and vented seats that actually blow hard enough to easily be felt on your bottom... Man i loved those seats lol.

I love my cloth, it's much nicer than the 06-08 stuff. I wish I had power seats though. Still thinking about swapping to the F-Sport Leather/Alcantara seats.

I also love that I don't have a sunroof. Never wanted that.

Race car, haha.

Weight savings w/o the sunroof! But you'd add it all back if you go with power seats.

Still not as much as power seats and sunroof, haha.

I like to think I probably have one of the lightest full-interior 2IS' out there.

I've never seen lexus with cloth seats either but don't you have the American model jeff? I'm assuming in Canada should be a lot of them.

Mine is a Canadian model. I ordered my car from my local Lexus dealer.

Cloth was not offered in the US, but it was an option here.
