How to turn off CHECK AWD message?

Default How to turn off CHECK AWD message?

The CHECK AWD message came on on my 09 IS250 AWD. How do i fix or just turn it off temporarily until i get around to fixing it permanently?

Really the only way to turn off the message is to fix whatever is wrong with your AWD system so that the error is no longer present.

Agree with Jeff..no way to turn it off till you fix the problem with car

Try checking your speed sensors..I had the same issue when my rear speed sensor broke when I was changing out my wheel studs

usually there are 2 main symptoms for this speed sensors because its saying your one wheel is rolling at a different speed than the others. (as mentioned above)

OR

you actually have wheels rolling at different speeds like wheels with different tire sizes

Unless you have some solid knowledge, I don't think so. You can still google it and try to diagnose it yourself with your findings.

Bring it to a garage for a diagnosis. He'll tell you what's wrong, then you can fix it yourself, depending on the job.

Some of the newer code readers have vehicle specific codes. I think the check AWD is one of them that will tell you if its a speed sensor or drive train issue.
