I'll just put this here since it was one of the few TRACK drag comparisons; I don't condone street racing :

The 350Z (non-HR) driver didn't overly spin the tires at the start and shifted pretty well. As you can tell, stock for stock at a dig, the Lexus (4.09 rear gear) will own even with a heavier curb weight. Over 100mph, it's anyone's game.

LOL. I'm good dude, but maybe for a daily later on when I'm done with my IS and it becomes a on again off again car.

So whats your take on this? Is the 350z way faster than an IS350? Because a 107.9 trap speed indicates that this thing pulls as hard as my brothers 6.0 G8 GT. And I really really really doubt that lol

I found this online but I didn't verify if this ranking is still current:

The majority of the 1/4 mile times and trap speeds of the 350Z HR fall in line with what the stock Lexus IS350 is capable of (13.2-13.5@104-105mph). The one that broke into the 12s appears to have been using drag radials.

It looks to be a driver's race, especially from a dig.

Yeah I've seen this before too and I noticed that they do trap fairly high although on 2 Z's ever hit 107 stock and one had drag radials for that matter. Only reason why I asked this here is because I know Icould get a more honest answer here since over on the Z boards it seems like they love to talk up their cars, which is understandable since it is a Z forum.

But the way ISFpower put it , he kinda makes it seem like a 350z HR will always trap higher than an IS350 when driven properly even though only 2 people have ever hit 107. And the rest hit 102-105 which has been done in our cars as well. It seems to me that stock for stock from a dig, the IS350 can run with your average driver in a 350zHr. Unless he's some sort of Fast and Furious shifting God, then I'm sure the only time a Z will pull away is up top due to the weight advantage and especially the broader powerband since it pulls it's max power from 6800-7500rpm.

Speaking of which, you get that tune yet? Maybe after that increased rev limit the Z's will really not have any advantage other than weight. Since we do make our peak HP at 6400rpm and according to RR Racings dynos, it pulls non stop till the increased rev limit.

I've raced all variants of the Z's in Mexico. I have yet to lose, I usually pull a few car lengths on them. I will try and get a video next time we go at it.
