Default I need help fixing my headlinghts!

My 250 2007 with 77k miles. The light shut off sometime and I have to turn off and on again. It happened betweeen 5-15 minutes. If I replace the light bulbs would it able to fix the problem or something else go on with the headlights. Can you guy help out where to get the OEM HiD bulb with good price. I have HiD on mine. Thanks a lot!

Sounds like your ballast is going out.

No it doesn't, that symptom is far more likely to be a bad bulb.

Switch bulbs from one side to another, and if the problem moves to the other side, it's the bulb, if not, it's the ballast.

Bulbs are generally replaced in pairs, otherwise color and brightness won't match.

If you find OEM bulbs at a too-good-to-be-true discount, they are most likely counterfeit. There is a huge problem with Chinese bulbs with fake labeling and packaging being sold as "Made in Germany" Philips on eBay and Amazon.

Lexus changed bulb suppliers a few years ago, so dealer will sell you a Harison-Toshiba bulb, which is different than than the Philips D4S XenEco that came with your 2007 when it was new. If you want the same bulb you had, XenonDepot sell them: http://www.xenondepot.com/D4S-Philip.../pb-d4s-4k.htm

You can replace the ballast without the rest of the headlight, but given what you are experiencing, it's unlikely that you will need to.

hi, i think i have the same problem.

2007 is 250/rwd/64k miles (not sure if real - bought it used)/hid equipped
at first the right lamp went off while driving. switch lights off - then on - comes back both.
did it a few times then the left started to do this as well.
once both gone down i decided to take a look on the issue deeply and found this article:
http://priuschat.com/threads/not-all...-equal.101472/

so i started searching for replacement bulbls and found these Morimoto:
https://www.theretrofitsource.com/co...5#.VmLAqeMrJPM
5500k is bright white (bit blueish) and i noticed that bit brighter comparing to the OEM used (not surprised)

anyways i replaced them by myself and worked very well for around a week (150 miles with lamps on) then yesterday i noticed in another car paints reflection that the right lamp went off again.

i am very sad about it. i dont know what cause this and i need advice to how to test the ballasts properly.
i dont trust the lexus dealer (hungary, europe) anymore..

(because they failed to find out an issue with O2 sensors - left upper probe went wrong and they said that i should replace lower and upper as well because "computer said it".. - nevertheless i was able to get it measured with signal analysing technique and found out that just one O2 sensor went wrong - known as VSC OFF-check engine issue)

so i am thinking of:
-brand new morimoto bulb is fault
-both my ballasts fault (just right side appeared yet)
-some other electronics fault
-very annoying that onboard computer does not give me feedback regarding the status of the lights - does anyone have a solution for this?

anyone any ideas pleas? i'd like to get this solved really...
thanks
so what i am
