The car feels great with the extra power.I believe it should come from the factory like this. The procharger sound is great and makes the car sound like its a beast although it s not. With this power it always spin my wheels in 1st and 2 gear.I wonder how you start yours with 50 hp more.I m huppy with it but your swap will always be my dream for this car.Congrats again Jeff

This is so cool. Congrats on achieving a platform that no other dared to attempt!

Do you feel that if you started with a IS350 and placed a MT inside, Would it have been easier than a motor swap?

See posts around #86-90. Since posting that I've had to deal with a few other changes I didn't know about at the time, but I think I still stand by what I said.

Congrats Jeff, this is was one more thing I would have attempted had I still had my 6MT IS250.

Awesome job. Commend you for sticking to it.

I attempted a feat similar to this with an accord and a CL engine but couldnt complete. Seeing this now makes me want to invest in a project similar to this with

Great job!

Congrats on the swap!!

On a scale, how difficult would it be for this swap? How many parts are needed to do a swap?

What went wrong with the Accord/CL swap? It seems like it shouldn't be too bad, especially from that vintage, but sometimes things pop up unexpectedly I suppose.

Thanks, I actually just finished sorting a couple small last things this past week and it is finally fully functional. I actually now consider the swap to be finally completed. There is nothing left to do.

It would really depend on what skills you have as to how difficult the swap is. Mechanically it is relatively bolt-in, electronically it still wasn't a lot of actual physical work, but a lot of testing and checking. Even of the people who have done this swap in Japan (using SARD's kit) or Australia, I don't think any of them ever got cruise control working for example.

If we combine our setups it would be even better, I could handle an IS350 6MT Supercharged, haha.

I heard someone here in Australia was able to twin turbo charge the 2gr fse while ditching the direct injection and made 500hp 550nm torque. He paired it with the 250 manual box which leads me to believe the gearbox can actually handle ALOT more than what we think.
No clue on how long it will last with that much power though haha.

Ray Hall Turbocharging. It was in a GT86, though it made just over 550 ft-lbs (745 Nm).

Toyota also used the transmission behind the 2GR-FSE in the GRMN Mark X 6MT with slight differences to some of the ratios and synchros as well as using the IS220d's RA63 tailshaft section as well (dampened drive shaft joints).
