I really, really wish the IS350 had just come with a 6MT from the factory, but once this is finished it will essentially be the same thing, which works for me.

Hoping to have it back on the road tomorrow.

Look forward to your update Jeff and I'll be so envious as you'll have the IS350 of my dreams with a 6 speed and LSD.

btw: finally joined another one of your clubs and installed the LED fogs. Once again thank you for your research on that.

Looking forward to see if you're 100% operational after that last part (ecu was it?) comes in.

The computer showed up! I will be installing it tonight and then I can go for a test drive, hopefully fully functional! There will be one or two things I need to verify afterward, but they are small things that I just couldn't check without having the computer installed.

Really looking forward to driving the car again.

Jeff

After a couple of hours of test driving the night I installed the ECU, I headed out for the weekend on a 2,500km (1,550 mile) trip through the mountains to properly test everything and give the car a good shakedown. Beyond a couple of minor issues (the IS350 traction control is much more sensitive to tire size variations than the IS250, and I'm not running stock tires), I declare the swap completed. I might make a couple of enhancements to a few things over the next few months, but nothing too major. I'm happy with the feel of the clutch and flywheel, but I may look into a custom flywheel at some point if I have any issues with the dual mass springs holding up to the increased torque.

Now I can finally present the world's first (to my knowledge), LHD IS350 6MT:

fin.

A dream came true buddy!Props to you for doing it!I wish I could do it too but I m sure the cost for me would be double including the shipping cost for the engine plus I don think I could ever have the knowledge to do this.I installed LMS supercharger instead and I m curious how the car would feel with extra 50 hp.Congrats again Jeff

I guess I was almost right about that long test drive then! LOL!

Glad it all came through and you're now fully enjoying that power plant PLUS a manual trans.
