Thumbs up Great MPG!

Haven't ever payed much attention to my gas mileage. But last week I noticed I was getting 29/30 highway. So I decided how high I could extend that number.

I started right below full tank. This is 90% highway with majority on flat roads. I took this photo at a stop light.
By the way I drive a 350
Anyone else getting this good of gas mileage?

I live in NYC, I get 15-19 depending on my driving conditions, 19 being 70% freeway, 15 being strictly in the city.

I'm envious of your gas mileage.

Wow, that's pretty good. I'm lucky to see 26-27 on the highway going 75. Around town, I'm lucky to see 19-20 because of how I drive the 350.

Have you confirmed by manually calculating the mileage when you fill up? Your mileage seems higher than I'd expect considering winter blend gas and colder temperatures.

No I have not manually calculated it. I'm just getting the info from the car itself.

You'll def want to look into calculating it manually.

How fast do you drive on the highway? 55mph. :-)

J/k, that's great mileage for a 350 or any car.

Was that mileage with the ECT snow on all the time? I experimented with that snow button today in the rain as I really have snow here in FL so I figured hey why not. Felt like the ECT snow took away torque and throttle response/acceleration. Again I was experimenting didn't run it for long

Yeah, I had it on the whole time. It really helps in town with gas mileage, but on highway it doesn't really matter if you have it on or off.

If I drive 70-75 mph on freeway I get about 26 mpg or maybe 25. If I drive in the right lane going 60mph or so, I can get over 30mpg quite easily since the car is revving lower in 6th and working less hard to keep its momentum. In city driving im at about 18-22mpg if im trying to save gas or 12 if I dont care lol.

Lol then whats the point of having a "luxury sedan". The interior of these class of cars is the whole point to buying these over some other more basic alternative. (Also brand, exterior looks, value , etc) Taking out seats or amenities seems to defeat the point of owning a lexus honestly
