Spoiler install
Ok, so I am putting the rear OEM style lip spoiler on my 350, got it all taped up with 3M tape, grey/black colored backing which I gather is the right stuff. Put it everywhere, all the way to the tips of the lip, I made sure to avoid it riding on the perimeter of the spoiler, as the perimeter has en edge that would reduce the contact surface area. Anyway, the big thing is that when I test fit the spoiler it takes a little force to fit it to the contor of the trunk, is this normal or do I have too much tape towards the ends of the lip causing the spoiler to "sit" on the edges of the trunk, causing me to have to push in the center to have it grab?
This is my typical over-complicating a simple situation but I really don't want this thing to fall off while driving. Any advice would be appreciated.

I will try to cut the tape down from the sides, but as is I can't see this thing staying on that well because its essentially acting as a spring, having to push in the center means the edges are likely to spring out, though I could be wrong. Are you all saying that the OE one doesn't do this?

Of course :-) I am just trying to avoid scratching the paint from the couple test fits I have done, not sure if they were there before but it looks like it may have created some scratches that will thankfully be covered BY the spoiler itself. I suppose I can put painters tape on the lid before the next attempts
