Default Tapping noise from driver side seatbelt

Anyone experience a tapping noise from the seat belt recoil area on the B pillar? Where the seat belt adjustment is, actually somewhere behind it, getting an annoying tapping noise. I press and hold and adjust the adjustment while driving to see if I can suppress the tapping but nothing. Anyone else experience this?

Adjust the seat and pull off the B pillar cover. Examine behind it. ANYTHING faulty with the seat belt and the tensioner mech Lexus legally has to fix/replace for you at no cost.

Would they still fix it if my car is out of warranty? I'm hearing some strange noise from the seat belt as well. Mine is an 06 so warranty is long gone.

^The worst they could say is no. But if it has to do with the seat belt mech not working as it should, then they should pay to replace it/fix it.

While I agree that it doesn't hurt to ask, I think it is highly unlikely that they'll address this kind of complaint on a car that is nearly 10 years old at no cost. His is a noise complaint, not a safety issue.

^Well, true...barring any potential actual safety issues causing the noise.
