How do you change door lock settings back to standard?
This is so weird. One day I went to lock my car door using the button on the driver side outside door handle and the car stopped beeping and the car lights no longer flash. The locks still lock, but now it's completely silent and when I press the lock button on the key fob it doesn't beep and car lights don't flash as well. If I unlock the car, the car lights flash like normal. How do I fix this??? Any help would be appreciated.

I'm pretty sure that the only way to change this is using the Techstream scan tool. If you are having other work performed at your dealer's service department, they'll sometimes do this for free as a good will gesture.

Reprogram the lock settings?
It is odd that the settings would change. Weird...
In the 2008 manual on page 39 there's info on how to set or cancel locking functions. Here's a link http://drivers.lexus.com/t3Portal/do.../sec_01-02.pdf
Maybe you can reprogram? Hope this helps.
Or maybe disconnect the starter battery for ten or twenty minutes and hope for a brain drain reset?

The information on page 39 is about linking the lock and unlock function to the shift lever, vs locking at speed. It has nothing to do with the audible signal and lights. Pulling the battery does not change LPS settings either. As I said earlier, you need a Techstream scan tool to do it.

I think I figured out what's wrong. Turns out the rear right passenger door wasn't locking so I'm guessing the actuator motor is dead and needs to be replaced. That lock was acting up previously, but we just thought it was because the battery was changed and it didn't get reinitialized. It was working for a while, but I guess it's dead now
