2013 front dome light cover

Guys who have IS 's of that year, what does the red SOS button do? It's marked as Safety Connect. Is there a separate wire harness for that thing?

I don't know about the wiring, but the SOS/Safety Connect works like On-Star. Theft recovery, diagnostics, crash notification, etc...
