Default Backup camera guidelines?

Did the 2nd gen is250 with backup camera have this as a feature?

Nope. Guidelines are only available on the 2015+ models...even the 2014 didn't have it.

2006 also? my backup camera has the yellow/green/red guide lines, is that what you mean?

edit: oops just saw that this was about a 250 not 350, dont mind me.

My 2010 350 does not have them. I was wondering if we could replace the camera with one with guidelines?

Interesting. How did you get the gridlines on your 2006 IS350? My 2007 did not have it but on my 2015 yes.

The feature is called: BACKUP CAMERA WITH DYNAMIC GRIDLINES from Lexus website.

Oh okay, and don't find it helpful or necessary in parking anyways. Im old school.

Was just curious when a bmw owner sat in my car and asked where are the guidelines lol

I can't imagine it would be very hard to replace the camera. If it's like all the aftermarket cameras, it's pretty much just a power/signal wire and RCA video.

Whoa, weird. My 2007 doesnt have the guidelines. But I've grown used to not having it either.

were the guidelines just on the ones with parking assist? i dont have that so that would explain missing guidelines.

Was country specific certain years. JDM had them.

my 2006 has no parking assist but does have the guidelines. I have a button to turn them on or off, and between two types.

is .jp import.

just bought 2010 350 with park assist and no guide lines, test drove 2011 350 without park assist and also no guide lines

weird that some of you have it lol

TimboIS made a good point that this feature is for country/region specific. I don't think North America has this. If you notice the picture above, it shows the driver is on the right hand side.
