2008 IS250 Body Work Questions
My car was hit and run last week in TX. The bodyshop asked $500 to fix the dent above rear bumper cover, $280 to paint the scratches and $60 to change the rear reflector( passager side).
Does it make sense? Thanks

I just found a geat DIY in this club and i think i can replace the rear reflector myself
How about the scratches? Do the whole rear bumper needs to be painted? or I can just buy some touchup kits ? Has anyone tried ready to spray cans like the ones below?

I recently had my Tungsten Pearl IS350 repaired on the driver side door that had an ugly carving on it from a bike pedal (Don't ask). And also had the entire rear bumper painted and repaired along with a dent near my driver side tail light. All for about $380. Of course this was no high grade body shop but just a typical cheap Mexican body shop that a freind of thr family has had good experience's with in the past. I was recommended to him and despite paying so little he did a great job and I can't tell it was ever damaged at all
So basically yes I think that's too much (for me anyway ) but if it's a high reputation place that "uses the most high quality materials " and blah blah blah, then yeah I guess it's cheap.

No I'm in Modesto. But I'm just giving some general advice as to not really having to go to the "professional " body shops. You should have a look around your city , there's bound to be someone who can do this for a better price. Originally I took my car to 2 different shops and they wanted $1000+ for they work i needed done.
