Default 2008 IS350 - My car wouldn't start

I washed my car yesterday in the drive way. Now it has gone completely dead . I didn't wash under the hood. Please suggest is it just the battery gone dead or do I have to call a mechanic?
Thanks in advance.

It would probably help to know what it does or doesn't do. Lights, radio, nothing at all?

Something similar happened to me about a month ago. Ended up being the battery terminals got corroded from acid leaking. Cheap DIY fix which was good.

Does your green LED on the start button even illuminate when you step on the brake pedal?

No it is completely dead as if all of the power went out.

Maybe, but my guess is the main fusible link, located in the long rectangular fusebox in front of the battery.

I mean, maybe . . . but after a car wash? On an '08 that's probably not modded for sound or anything battery intensive? I don't think it would be it.

Dead battery from drying / detailing the car with the stereo on seems more likely . . . If anything the battery has probably never been changed . . .

I guessed the fusible link because the OP said the battery was stone dead. I've had my share of bad batteries over the years, and usually a weak battery usually has enough umph left to dimly light the dome lights, etc.

I'd probably break out the jumper cables first, but if the car is still stone dead, next I'd move on to check the fusible link.

I rechecked the battery terminals last night and they were tight. I didn't jump start it as the car was parked outside and it was raining yesterday. I'll try it tonight if it doesn't rain again.
Thanks to all for help.

It is fixed. The battery was discharged. I cleaned the terminals and jumped started it. Everything works fine. Thanks to all.
