That's correct. The IS350 has both direct and port injection; the latter flows gasoline and the detergents it contains over the back side of the intake valves, keeping them clean.
My local mechanic and separately my Lexus service advisor said there were IS350s with the same issues. Just from the symptoms it sounds like carbon build up. I had the same issue. Cold start in driveway, fluctuating idle, then the car died, CEL, VTC, tractions light all came on. Took to Lexus and they diagnosed the misfire and carbon build up. Scoring on the cylinder walls 5/6 cylinders, got a new short block with rebuilt heads.
Won't really know unless you pull the codes. I hope for you that it's not carbon build up. Just sounds like it from what I've experienced.

Does Lexus Dealer cover your carbon build up clean up for your IS350, and rebuild head?

Sorry. I have a 250. They did cover the entire short block and head rebuild along spark plugs and all the fluids. My service advisor is pretty good about doing things/getting things done for me w/o cost. Your milage my vary.
