Default Surprise Surprise and I thought I was SOL

Picked up my used IS in May with a 1 year maintenance incentive at the time. Didn't press because I figured it'd be tied to the vehicle, however, when I spoke with Toyota about having received two extended warranty cards in June, they said they didn't have anything in the system on that end for the vehicle. Figured, ah well, guess I'll just complain when I take it in next. I was kind of excited about having the maintenance package for 1 year since it would cover the 30k service during that time frame.

Now, fast forward to today, I picked up the mail and much to my surprise, there was a letter with a card for the warranty, only it's good for 2 years vs just one. Should be able to get pads and maybe rotors (if I do my part) out of it now.

Still waiting on my plates though, TX temp one expires in a week.

You bought the car from a Toyota dealership that has the maintenance offer? Make sure the pads are covered before you drive the hell out of them lol. The 30K service only says inspect not replace.

It was supposed to be only one year, but somehow they gave me two. I should be able to kill them by 50k, which is the mileage I will be at in two years.

Warranties like what you have usually don't cover consumables, like fluids and brake pads/rotors.

^ what he said. Now if the calipers seized within the warranty period, they will resurface the rotors and replace the pads if needed.

Two things going on:
Extended warranty (+3 years to CPO, so 6yr/100,000), which I paid for.

Maintenance (Lexus Care / Pre-Paid maintenance) was the purchase incentive (1 year).
Ended up being 2yr/20,000 miles, so 30k, 35k, 40k, and 45k intervals.
