I noticed that the Type-T led fog lights on the retrofit source are only for 12+ IS's. Have anyone tried installing it on pre 2012 IS's?

I noticed that the shapes are different so I forgot about trying it but I was browsing through Ebay and stumbled on this...

and it looks identical in shape to the 12+ and it mentions that 06-11 are compatible but only require a bit of "shaving of plastics", which is not bad if it fits perfectly afterwards..

Any thoughts or experience?

This thread will give you an idea of the "shaving of plastics" needed to be done get it to fit. I did this on my 2011 IS250.
